Alisha Lehmann: ‘Juventus the best decision, I don’t live like a star’
Swiss forward has played for the Italian giants since January after leaving West Ham United
Alisha Lehmann has called her move to Juventus the “best decision” of her career, and the Swiss forward admitted that she has adapted well to life in Turin.
The 23-year-old joined the Italian giants in January from West Ham United, and she has quickly become a key player for Juventus, scoring six goals in 11 appearances.
Lehmann revealed that she is enjoying her time in Turin, though, and she has no regrets about leaving England.
She said: "I think it was the best decision I could make. I'm really happy here. The team is great, the staff is great, and the city is beautiful. I'm really enjoying my time here."
Lehmann had offers from other clubs, including Barcelona and Bayern Munich, but she decided to join Juventus because she was impressed by the club's ambition.
She added: "I had other offers, but I chose Juventus because I believe in this project. I think we can win a lot of trophies here. We have a great team, and we're all working hard to achieve our goals."
Lehmann has also been impressed by the level of competition in Italy, and she believes that it will help her to improve as a player.
She said: "The level of competition in Italy is very high. Every game is a challenge. I'm really enjoying it, and I think it will help me to improve as a player."
Lehmann is not the only Swiss player to have joined Juventus in recent years. Gianluigi Buffon, Stephan Lichtsteiner, and Denis Zakaria have all played for the Italian giants, and Lehmann believes that this is a sign of the growing strength of Swiss football.
