KTLA Entertainment Anchor Sam Rubin Dies at 64

Veteran journalist Sam Rubin, who anchored KTLA's entertainment coverage for more than 30 years, has died. Rubin had been with KTLA since 1991 and was known for his engaging personality and extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry.
Rubin, who was 64, died Thursday morning, according to a statement from KTLA. The cause of death was not immediately released.
KTLA anchor Frank Buckley announced Rubin's death on the air Thursday. "Sam was a giant in the local news industry and the entertainment world," Buckley said. "He was a true professional, a great colleague, and a wonderful friend."
